‘Alias’ Tv show was an action drama series that was air on ABC from September 30, 2001 to May 22, 2006. The series was created by J. J. Abrams. The series basically revolved around Sydney Bristow, a secret CIA agent. Sydney’s character was portrayed by Jennifer Garner.
In the series, Sydney Bristow was shown as a young, athletic, college graduate. In the very first year of her college she was recruited as a secret agent for SD-6, a top-secret branch of the CIA. But Sydney had to keep her this identity as a secret from her family and friends, thus she ended up leading a double life. Her struggle basically started when she had to keep a balance between her official life and her personal life. But one day she committed the mistake of revealing her true identity to her boyfriend, and the wicked head of SD-6, Arvin Sloan, killing her boyfriend.

It was only after the death of her boyfriend that she came face to face with the reality of the organization, SD-6. All those years, Sydney had been thinking that organization SD-6 was a government organization, but she came to know only later that it was actually the one that worked against the government. SD-6 was actually part of a rogue international agency called the Alliance of 12, out to rule the world. She then decided to leave the organization and became a double agent, working with the real CIA to bring down SD-6.
When Sydney started working for the CIA, only then she realized that her father, Jack Bristow, with whom she was not on good terms, was also a double agent for CIA. She then started spending some time with her father and working on improving her relationship with her father, which started improving. With the help from her father and assistant Michael Vaughn, she started working for the betterment of nation.
In her journey through the series, besides working for the nation, Sydney also learnt facts about her mother, a thing which had been a matter of torture and puzzlement for her over the years, and was plagued with countless revelations which helped her in her personal growth and thus helping in becoming a true CIA agent.
Apart from the plot-line of Sydney, another major plot-line of the series was the search for and recovery of artifacts created by Milo Rambaldi. Milo Rambaldi was a fictional Leonardo Da Vinci-like inventor and Nostradamus-like prophet from the Renaissance period. Some major part of the plot and some technologies had been purposely used in the series to bring Alias into the genre of science fiction.
All the years that Alias was on air, it was very popular among the audiences. The popularity of the series was such that even a video game based on the series was created. The video game Alias is a 3D third-person stealth action title developed and released by Acclaim Entertainment for the PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was released in 2004.
The series came to an end after five seasons run, in 2006, but even today it is quite popular among the audiences.
